Traditional Scottish Candy Recipe-Tablet

What is Tablet?  It is a traditional Scotish recipe. It is a very delicious candy much like fudge.

Tablet
 
 
2 lbs Sugar
2 tlbs Syrup
small tin condensed milk (sweetened)
2 ozs Margarine
3 ozs water
1/2 tsp Vanilla
 
 
Place all in pan. Melt slowly. Stir till boiling.
Boil about 30 minutes.
Remove from heat and beat well and pour into greased tin.
Mark when cool; cut when cold.
